The new AC-Unity Gen2 window magazine for AK47 is now in stock. For those who want tank like construction, this is the mag for you. The Gen2 is a refined and heavier duty magazine than the Gen1 window mag that it is replacing. Same great function, now with a more streamlined, integrated baseplate and TWO followers. Magazine includes both a Yugo style Bolt Hold Open (BHO) and a Non-BHO Soviet style follower.
Constructed from an even denser, more indestructible polymer than the already strong Gen1 mags.
New baseplate design is less bulky and more attractive. Will work better with most mag pouches. Triple detent mag insert for an even greater impact resistance and strength.
Ribbed rear of the mag provides a great grip in wet climates and looks great too.
The Gen2 mags answer the common customer request to incorporate the AC AK74 style baseplate onto the AK47 magazines. Going forward the Gen2 Window mags will replace Gen1 Window AK47 mags. The Gen1 non-windowed magazines will not be replaced or phased out.
The Gen2 Window 7.62x39mm is impact resistant, lightweight, and highly reliable for all AK47/AKM weapons. Will fit and function in all 7.62x39 AK47 style rifles/carbines/pistols that use standard AK mags.
Made from an advanced, German made polymer-resin/granulate that is light weight and extremely shock resistant. The body is impact resistant through a wide range of temperatures. This polymer is exclusive to AC-Unity and gives these mags a huge edge in weight and durability.
Front and rear locking lugs and BHO reinforcements are machined from German GD ZN 410 metal legure; this is a specific German marine grade metal-alloy that is hardened, anti-magnetic, highly anti-corrosive with great wear properties.
Carbon wire spring has a lifetime warranty against corrosion and will not degrade from use or loaded storage.
Reinforced bolt hold open follower (Yugo Style BHO) works as a last round fired bolt hold open on all AKs. Standard Soviet style follower is also included with the magazine. Replacing the follower takes less than a minute for the average home gunsmith.
This mag is built to last using state of the art materials! AC-Unity magazines are used by Bosnian Defense Forces and other militaries in Europe and the Middle East. Not just military grade; but current military issue.
Mags shipped to NY, CO, CT, DE, MA, OR, RI,WA,IL,VT & DC will have the base sealed shut with epoxy and a rivet to fully comply with the laws there.
For states that do not require the base sealed shut we can still epoxy it shut on request free of charge. Just let us know you would like it done.
